Terms of Use
This is a draft and will be confirmed by the operator before launch. Items highlighted as "待確認" (to be confirmed) are not final yet. If the Chinese and English versions differ, the Chinese version prevails.
1. Agreement
The Honiee app is operated by 【待確認:營運者名稱】 ("we", "us"). By signing up for or using Honiee, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Honiee.
These Terms are also the end user license agreement (EULA) between you and us. Apple and Google are not parties to it and are not responsible for Honiee or its content.
2. Who can use Honiee
- You must be 18 or older. If you're under 18, don't sign up. We'll close any account we find belongs to a minor.
- One account per person. No signing up for someone else, sharing, selling, or transferring accounts.
- You are not barred by a court or by law from using dating services, and you have not been convicted of a sexual offense.
- If we've banned you before, you may not create a new account.
3. Your account and profile
- Your profile must be really you: your own photos and your real age.
- No impersonation of anyone, including celebrities, influencers, or people you know, and no using other people's photos.
- Keep the Apple account, Google account, or phone number you sign in with secure. If someone else gets into your account, tell us right away.
4. Community rules (zero tolerance)
Honiee has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In profiles, photos, chats, posts, comments, and city chats, you must not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
- Post hate speech or discriminate based on race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar.
- Post nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content, or send such content to anyone without their consent.
- Post any sexual or inappropriate content involving minors. We remove it immediately, ban the account permanently, and report it to the authorities.
- Post violent or gory content, or content promoting self-harm or suicide.
- Scam people, including romance scams, asking for money or loans, investment, crypto, or gambling schemes, or any request to transfer money.
- Solicit, sell, advertise, promote services, recruit, or use Honiee for any commercial purpose.
- Offer or seek paid sex or "sugar" arrangements.
- Sell or promote drugs, weapons, or other illegal goods.
- Share anyone's personal information or private images without their consent.
- Spam, use bots or automation, or mass copy-paste messages.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, image rights, or other rights.
- Hack or interfere with the app or servers, or try to scrape other users' data.
5. Reporting, blocking, and what we do
- You can report any profile, chat, post, comment, or city chat message.
- You can block anyone at any time. Once blocked, they can't see you or message you.
- We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules is removed, and the user responsible is warned, restricted, or removed from Honiee. Serious violations lead to a permanent ban.
- For scams, threats, or anything involving personal safety, we may share information with the police or authorities.
- If you are in immediate danger, call 110 (police in Taiwan) first, then tell us.
6. Your content
- You keep the copyright in the photos, text, and other content you post.
- So Honiee can work, you give us a free license to store, display, transmit, translate (when you or the other person taps Translate), and reformat (for example, compress photos) your content as needed to provide the service. This license ends when your account is deleted, except for content we must keep by law or to handle reports.
- You're responsible for what you post. We may remove content that breaks these Terms without notice.
- Translations are generated automatically by AI and may be inaccurate. Double-check anything important with the other person.
7. Meeting safely
We review verifications and reports, but we cannot run background checks on users and cannot guarantee anyone's identity, words, or behavior. Use your own judgment when interacting with and meeting people you met online:
- Meet in a busy public place the first time, and tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Arrange your own transportation. Don't get picked up or go to their place.
- Never send money, lend money, or invest with someone you met online.
- If something feels off, leave and report them.
See our dating safety tips for more.
8. Subscriptions and payments
- Honiee is free to use, with optional paid subscriptions (monthly and yearly). Prices are shown in the app and on the store page.
- The first month is a free trial (once per Apple ID or Google account). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you will be charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically: unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your App Store or Google Play account is charged for the next period.
- To manage or cancel:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Honiee.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Honiee.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Request one from Apple or Google Play; we can't issue refunds directly.
- On a new phone or after reinstalling, tap "Restore purchases" on the "Me" tab or the subscription screen.
- If your account is banned for breaking these Terms, subscription fees already paid are not refunded, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.
9. Suspension and termination
- You can delete your account anytime in the app (Me → Delete account).
- If you break these Terms or the law, or we reasonably believe your behavior could harm other users, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or permanently disable your account without prior notice.
- If you think we made a mistake, you can appeal by emailing honiee.app.help@gmail.com.
10. Disclaimers
- Honiee is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that you'll find a match.
- Interactions, meetings, and dealings between users are their own actions; we are not a party to them. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for what happens between users, except for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.
- We may change, add, or remove features at any time.
11. Changes to these Terms
If we make significant changes, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Honiee after the changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law and court
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any dispute arising from Honiee shall be brought before 【待確認:管轄法院(例如臺灣臺北地方法院)】 as the court of first instance, unless the Consumer Protection Act or other laws provide otherwise.
